2024 August 2nd 270 lbs
2024 August 270
This August 2, 2024, I weigh 270 lbs. I started my weight loss journey at 293 lbs Thanksgiving 2023 and lost 42 pounds by March 2024 reaching 251 lbs. Financial stress zapped my motivation. Now, I’m trying to restart my weight loss efforts starting at 270 lbs. Not sure if I will find the necessary focus to get into ketosis.
8/4 Update: went to NC to get Eli from Bonclarken at midnight and drive all the way home staying awake with sugar energy drinks and Pizza Combos. Next day ate French Toast for lunch and baked Ziti for dinner at the Bowers. Today I started with a home cooked bacon-egg-cheese breakfast with one tbs of sugar in my coffee – twice. Maybe I can do better for lunch.
Tools: Ozempic, metabolism pills, vitamins.
Exercise? I hope so. Right now my positive energy is very low. My hips hurt really bad. My feet feel the beginning of plantar fasciitis and my knees hurt. Not sure I can get myself to do anything looking like cardio. It is 8:00 AM and I need to go outside and spray for weeds. Hoping to do some leg extensions and leg curls before doing that to loosen up.
Coffee? I hate bad coffee. This morning I made coffee with Stevia and Caramel protein shake mix. Nasty after taste. Won’t do that again. This issue messes up my diet every time. I need a great cup of coffee and I am not a fan of black coffee. I need it creamy and sweet. Not sure how to fix this challenge.
Food? No clue. I succeed with the potato diet. I succeed with the Keto diet. Not sure if I have motivation to do any specific diet right now. Very low emotionally. So far today I had a bad cup of coffee and a cucumber from my garden that sat for 3 days in a pickle jar and tasted pretty good.
Deadlines? There are 118 days until Thanksgiving. 145 until Christmas. 261 until Easter 2025 and 291 until Madi’s graduation.
I could be 220 by Thanksgiving and 160 by Madi’s graduation. Can I stay on a program for that long to realize those victories? Not in my current state of life.
So what can I accomplish? Not sure but I’ll keep posting updates.
